Slightly unusual fit but very good quality

Received these today from Wellington / Foot Box (thanks for good service). I've got a fairly wide foot size 9 (often have to size up in trainers). However I'd say these are oversized as my feet seem a bit lost in them to the extent that I wonder if I need a size 8. In terms of the forefoot, they are very slightly narrow but being leather they will give. I found the shoe comes up quite high at the back and slightly rubs under my ankle but again being leather, that will give in time. However the deal breaker for me is the heel of the shoe which is relatively wide and my foot just constantly lifts in them. Possibly a better / another footbed like Superfeet would help. I almost feel Skechers could add another lace hole too, in order to really cinch the shoe (I'm used to outdoor shoes which always have this feature). They are incredibly sturdy, good soles and the brown leather and colour looks really good. Almost like work boots. So if you've got a fairly average shaped foot with an average width at the front and not got a narrow heel, these may well fit perfectly. Just be aware of the sizing. For me at least they are like wearing almost one size above but think if I downsize they would be too small. Very good shoe however and great service (although clearly someone else has worn the shoes around their house testing them before me!) I did try them with some LaSportiva footbeds in them and that seems to have resolved the heel lift issue!

Decent shoe for knocking about in!

1/2 the price & twice the shoe of the Dr Martens shoes these were bought to replace.
Really good service from the Wellington warehouse too.

No immediate problems here

I've only tried these on once indoors, so it would be pretty dumb of me to say they're the best thing since sliced bread, especially if I end up semi-crippled after wearing them for a day or three, which hopefully won't happen.

Ordering, packaging and delivery were all excellent, so there's every likelihood I'll purchase from Wellington Warehouse in the future.
